Just the beginnings of some internet wormhole I'm going through around unpacking the Cartesian distinction between the mental and the physical. I am working through the concept of rethinking the relation between the two, and I particularly like that Massumi highlights the requirement of rethinking without 'collapsing them into each other, or bracketing one out' (179, 'What a body can do')
Here's one about the 'gut brain'
Feel free to contribute to my wormhole travels in the comments.
Hi Mel! I've been thinking about this too. I wanted to mention in class but didn't know how exactly to bring it up, but I've been simultaneously excited by and repulsed by fecal transplants. I've read about poo power; I encourage you all to do the same. If a body thinks, I'm certain that poo does too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fecal_bacteriotherapy
